I am an education major with a concentration in social studies teaching and minor in Spanish.  For me, the most interesting part of American history is how European cultures interacted with each other and with Native Americans when today’s borders were in flux.  I took this class in part because it would allow me to focus on these interactions, but also because I wanted my work to have a constructive purpose outside simply fulfilling class requirements.
