Gage Patinella

My name is Gage Patinella, I am a senior History Major at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.  I developed an interest in the border while spending nine weeks rock climbing at Cochise’s Stronghold in southern Arizona.  It was here that I witnessed illegal immigrant traffic on a daily basis.  The desert is a beautiful yet misunderstood place.  It is my hope that through this website, readers will learn and discover the hardships faced by the National Park Service on a daily basis when trying to manage a park on an international border, while also discovering the beauty within Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument itself.
